What to Expect at a Dermatology Appointment
Knowing what is going to happen at the first veterinary dermatologist appointment makes the processes a bit easier for you and your pet.
STEP 1
Get Settled
We ask you to arrive about 10 minutes early to complete the New Patient Form. However, to save more time, you can also fill out the New Patient Form online prior to your appointment.
STEP 2
Meet Your Board-Certified Pet Dermatologist
Our specialist will check your pet's history and discuss the issues with you in detail. You may ask any questions you have and we will take all the time that is necessary to answer them.
STEP 3
Examination, Diagnosis & Treatment
After your pet has been assessed, the vet will give you a diagnosis and explain the treatment options to you. Your veterinary dermatologist will work with you to develop a treatment plan that best meets your pet's needs. Once your visit is completed, our team will follow up with your primary care veterinarian to provide them with a detailed report regarding your appointment and treatment plan.
Our Pet Care Philosophy
Our veterinary dermatologist and team are an extension of your primary care veterinarian, called upon when your dog or cat's skin, coat, or nails require specialized attention.
We are proud to serve veterinarians and pet owners within areas in northern Florida and southern Georgia with advanced animal dermatology services and procedures not usually offered in family practice.
We work closely with your primary care veterinarian and a wide network of dermatology resources to give you and your four-legged companion the best skin and ear treatments.
We treat your pets as if they are our own and want to see your companion happy and healthy.
Payment & Financing
At Animal Friends Dermatology in Orange Park the staff will work hard to help you understand the payment and financing options we have available. This allows you to focus your energy on getting your dog or cat the dermatological care they require to live a healthy life.
